Dr Sanchez held up a 3 dimensional cube. The symbols were rapidly replaced with more.
“It’s a 3d image of the 76th theorem of da-ran, the grulag of course, mr. sanches” said Mary.
“Very good Mary. Now briefly describe the theorem”
“Of course Mr. Sanchez.”
“The fluid dynamics of plasma, which when combined with the fee lock particle, will result in a c value larger then 100, which in turn allows faster than light travel. These symbols describe this bonding and this…”
Mary reached toward the cube, and hit two buttons on the side. Multiple symbols appeared. Mary pointed toward a particular set of symbols.
“…this is the major bonding here, it excites all the others to a higher energy state allowing the bonding of the others and also fast speeds. Is that good Mr. Sanchez? Can I see my parents now?!” Mary turned to Dr. Sanchez and started to get up. Dr. Sanchez laid a hand on Mary’s shoulder and gently indicated for her to sit down.
“Just a few more questions Mary. Then you can leave.”
“And see my parents?!” Mary was about to cry when Dr. Sanchez gave her a hug.
“We’ll see Mary, we’ll see.”
“I promise Dr. Sanchez, I’ll answer all the questions right, and really behave”
“Good Mary, but let’s finish these questions. Now, explain who the wheredas are, and what they offer humanity.”
“The wheredas are a race of creatures from Sharacki prime, in the constellation of Draco, also known as Thuban to humans. They arrived in 2097 offering faster than light to our young race. They are a race of protectors; they have protected and nurtured over 20 species. They say we’ll pay back the gift when we are more advanced and can get along without them.”
“Very good Mary, now the last question: find a unique and exact solution to the Einstein field-equations and describe the properties of this solution.”
“It is the Einstein field-equations, it’s outdated by a bit, but still useful in its ways.” Mary walked to the computer and started typing. Soon there were more than several pages of equations. Then Mary stood up.
“That is the solution, and the properties would be close to a Friedmann–Lemaître–Robertson–Walker metric.”
“Very good Mary! That’s all, you can stay here for abit.” Dr. Sanchez got up and started to leave the room when Mary grabbed his hand.
“Can I see Mommy and Daddy now, Mr. Sanchez?!”
“Soon, Mary, soon…” The Dr. removed Mary’s hand and left the room. Mary started to cry. The Dr. continued down the hall, and soon was within the observation room.
“Ah, how is the new one? Does she pass the standards?” said a man in a suit and tie looking very official.
“Yes, sir, she did very well, very well…”
“Good, Ambassadore Wharacka is on his way to sample the newest subjects to see if any are fit.” Dr. Sanchez began to look abit uncomfortable.
“Is anything wrong, Doctor?”
“It’s just, um, well, I told Mary she could see her parents.”
“HAHA, very funny Dr., that’s not important, now back to the work we and they pay you for.”
“Of course Sir.” Dr. Sanchez started to leave when the man motioned to him.
“Don’t forget Dr., people with consciences don’t last very long in this place…”
“Of course Director, I completely understand.”
“Good, get the children present for our guest, you are dismissed.” The Dr. turned and left. He continued past Mary’s room and to another subject he had interviewed earlier.
“Hello, how are you doing um, uh, whats you name again?” The boy got up violently.
“I WANT MY HALO BACK AND MY NAME IS SHADOW GOT IT!? ITS SHADOW YOU FUCKER!! GIVE ME IT BACK MY HALO! NOW!!!!! NOW!!!!!!!!!!!” Dr. Sanchez slammed the door quickly before the boy could make a run for it. But he could still hear muffled sounds and load banging through the door.
“FUCKER LET ME OUT ILL PWN YOU IN A 1V1 YOU FUCKER ROAR!!!!!”
Dr. Sanchez shuffled quicly away from that room, and soon he was outside the main control room. He turned to a uniformed man holding a rifle.
“Sergeant Joshua, get your men and round up the children I list.

“SIR YES SIR!” Dr. Sanchez went and took a nap, 2 hours later he woke to a comm bleeping. “Yes I know thank you”
Mary sat in a dark room, and the door opened. Sh jumped and fled to get away, but a man caught her,
“It’s alright Mary”
“Dr. Sanchez?!”
“Yes, its me, I have to tell you something important”
“Is it letting me see mommy and daddy?”
“No, listen kid, I’m sorry to be the one who tells you this, but you will never see mommy and daddy again.”
“WHY NOT!”
“Because, you will be going with the Wheredas Ambassador.”
“What?!” Mary looked at Dr. Sanchez with a disbelieving look on her face.
“When you said we’d pay off the price in the future was partly true, but not the whole truth, another part of the deal, was, that we would give the wheredas our most gifted children to them, and they would use you ads they please. We have honored it for many years and we will continue to. You have been chosen as one. Some advice, those who misbehave the wheredas, we’ve, we’ve never heard of those children again. So my advice, behave follow there orders, do what they wish. Goodbye”
Dr. Sanchez turned and left, locking the door, he wondered what would happen to Mary, but then took the advice the Director had offered, this was the most he could do. He kept walking and never turned around. Mary looked around her “cell”, she went to turn, then a load thud, a man came in,
“Follow me, and keep your mouth shut or else.”
They came into a large room, they passed by a boy who looked wasted, Mary turned to ask the man, but she thought better of it.
“Sit here.”, said the man.
Mary nodded and sat. The man left and locked the door. IT was quite until a nother door opened. Imagine a man with 6 arms and 3 lags with a alligator face and that’s what a wheredas looks like. Mary sat quietly in fear.
“Hello human, I am Ambassador Wharackas, will you come with me? Answer quickly, I am on a busy time frame as you humans say.” Mary sat for a moment, and then said quitely,
“I will go.”.
“Good” He got up and left. The same man came back and escorted Mary back to her room.
“Good luck kid, I envy you seein the stars like that. Goin out there.”
“2+2.” Mary said quietly.
“What you say?”
“Nothing.”
“Here’s ya room kid goodbye audios au du or what ever they say.”
Mary walked into her room, and sat quietly on her bed. She wold be quite the next day when they came for her. She would be quite on the flight into orbit. She would go and see the stars. But she would not see home for a long, long time. This is her story….
