My mom got a Bose Soundlink III and has no idea what to do with it. She wants me to connect it to her iPad, but I can't get it to work at all. I also tried it on my computer and couldn't get it to work either. It appears in the bluetooth devices, and turning it off will pause music/ youtube videos, but I can't get any sound to come out of it, only sound from the computer/apple shit it is connected too. any ideas. (I've tried lots of stuff from the apple support forums and microsoft forums, but nothing is working. youtube didn't help either)
Have the Bluetooth plugged into your PC. Then go to Control Panel and find Device Manager options from there. Look for the section on wherever your Bluetooth speaker is plugged and then right click on it and click 'Scan for hardware changes'. If it still didn't work, then uninstall the device from there. Make sure you have it plugged in still. Then right click on the tab where it was located at and click on 'Scan for hardware changes'. Let your PC detect and fully install/load the Bluetooth device.
I got a big blue star for posting. i must be special

Press the power button on the bose soundlink, the hold the bluetooth button for around 3 seconds until the bluetooth icon flashes. then go to ur iPad general settings, go to bluetooth and turn it on then u will see bose soundlink appear, connect to it. the bluetooth icon will stop flashing. you should hear a bleep also. then done. If that doesnt work then maybe u need to send it back?
