I had X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse as my first game, Top Gear, Mortal Kombat, Donkey Country, Aaagghhh Real Monsters, Contra III: Alien Wars, Lion King, Super Mario World, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, and Super Mario All Stars.

I agree about the Legend of Zelda series for portables + consoles still being epic and best out of all. Pokemon is also the best childhood + adult life RPG based for portables.

OMG! i can't believe i forgot about Pokemon, well yea smash bros, Metroid prime series, Legend of Zelda, 007 series, Fire Emblem. The tales series was pretty good too (especially tales of symphonia). |

^always did the best with my little mudkip lol wouldn't train others just used them as cannon fodder while I got my mudkipz back in actions

That's exactly what I did when I first played Sapphire lol. Had a lv. 70-something Swampert by the time I beat the 8th gym, I remember. Didn't train anything else except my Kyogre. xD
Sapphire was the first Pokemon got I ever owned. I still play the GBA Pokemon games all the time.
