This is easy but okay...100÷25=?
btw in my other problem
integral of sinx is -cosx
u=4x
du=4dx rewrite du/4=dx
rewrite equation 1/4intsin(u) from 0 to 4
Answer:-1/4(cos(4)-cos(0)) = -1/4(cos(4)-1) That would have been viable or you could type that into a calculator and see what that spits out

In a certain country ½ of 5 = 3. If the same proportion holds, what is the value of 1/3 of 10 ?

You rounded up from 2.5 to 3 meaning that the country doesn't have decimals only whole numbers so 1/3 of 10=3.33
Now this could go one of two ways. This country could say if you have 3.33 of something that must be 4 since you already have 3 and 1/3...Or this country would round down to 3 (Which I guess would be my final answer)
How can you add eight eights to get the number one thousand?

(8+8)/8 = 2
128-2 = 126
126 x 8 = 1008
1008 - 8 = 1000

It was 888 + 88 + 8 +8 +8 = 1,000 but close enough 
Your question is confusing to me. Did you mean (tan(x^4))secxdx) or (((tanx)^4)(secx)dx)? Believe me these will bring back completely different results and have to be handled differently

lol it was for de extra credet i got it mostly right i had a tan i shouldn't have had. memorized something wrong lol.
er lets see if i can read my handwriting.
First off use integration of parts. The variables for it ;D
let u = (tan x)^3
du= 3 (tan x)^2 (sec x)^2 dx
dv = sec x tan x dx
v = sec x 
so
uv - the integral of v du
so that is
(tan x)^3 (sec x) - integral of (sec x)^3 (tan x)^2 dx
(sec x) (sec x)^2 (tan x) ^2
(sec x)^2 = 1+ (tan x) ^2
now from trig, you learned trig identity's which are very useful right now. let .
so now its (tan x)^3 (sec x) - integral of (sec x) (1+(tan x)^2) (tan x) ^2 dx
now that its like that by carrying out the multiplication you can break this into two separate integrals.
(tan x)^3 (sec x) - integral of (sec x) (tan x) ^2 dx - the integral of (sec x) (tan x) ^ 4 dx
Oh looky, that last integral is = to what WE ORIGINALLY HAD!
since this is all equal to the integral of (tan x)^4 sec x dx
add the integral of (sec x) (tan x) ^ 4 dx to both sides.
2 times de integral of sec x (tan x)^4 dx = (tan x)^3 sec x - the integral of sec x (tan x) ^ 2.
(tan x) ^2 = (sec x)^2 - 1
again those trig identity's come in handy.
dividing both sides by 2 to get it
integral of sec x (tan x)^4 dx = ((tan x)^3 sec x - the integral of (sec x)^3 dx - the integral of sec x dx) /2
now to integrate.
the integral of (sec x)^3 dx = a very long nasty integration by parts. Our professor saved us this trouble by having us memorize what this equals. = (sec x tan x + ln l sec x + tan x l)/2
integral of sec x = ln l sec + tan x l
so the final answer was 1/2( (tan x)^3 sec x - 1/2(sec x tan x + ln l sec x + tan x l) - ln l sec + tan x l = the integral of (((tanx)^4)(secx)dx).
he gave me 8 of 10 on that. I think i might have missed de 3 somewhere. this is close enough to de answer .

I thought it was integration by parts, it was that I forgot to separate one of the tan x's out. Isn't integration by parts udv - integral of vdu? it's been a long time
