MELEE ONLY NOT A RULE

I am presently pulling logs for a couple of reports I received last night, and I am very disappointed by some of our regulars and several ZAs who are trying to enforce a MELEE ONLY rule when there are 5 players or less in the server.
I want it known that this is NOT a rule and that ANYONE enforcing this rule will receive a 1 day ban per incident. Admins, please be advised and on the look out. |

i had to tell Wheat also to please stop enforcing this. Just today other Non ZA members were calling it out. Not good, starting to spread to much. I had to simply say no for lack of a better word. This does need to stop. yes its nice to melee only when few players in case humans camp, but it's their choice nonetheless. NOT A RULE!
An example, we have a Non ZA member join our servers almost every day called NewOO1 not New001. Notice the difference. He's very friendly in game play and appears to respect our rules and enjoys himself in game every time I see him which is quite frequently. He never talks or has ever said a word since i have seen him. He shoots with no matter how many people in the server and some have complained he was doing so. THAT needs to stop!! Ty.

This is in the Phasor servers: some people have been claiming that when there are small numbers of players the humans have to melee as well as the zombies.

What if everyone is ok with it? I had a guy ask to do melee only and the other 2 were fine with it. So we did that until another guy showed up.

Yeah sure that's fine, ASKING ppl to do it is okay. That's how it all started. I'm okay with that - but be clear that it's optional and dont rage if ppl still shoot or nade.
The bad part is when ppl just say "MELEE ONLY IT'S ONLY 5!" and then get pissed when ppl dont listen.

Agreed. It's only up to the Humans or Last Man Standing to decide if they want to melee only or not. If they want to shoot, then let them. So whoever came up with this melee only thing =

Just a quick ^BUMP^ to remind every1 that melee only is not a rule when playing in Stats or what have u. Remember that when playing with the public it is only appropriate to take advantage of your adminship when it benefits you. Not other players. I CANNOT stress this enough!

Raz is right in this situation. I remember voting on this subject at one point. Can't remember when though. But since -Halo is Dead- R.I.P- I don't see why this needs to be brought up again

There was a new patch to deal with Gamespy closing down. If you don't have that patch you can't play. You can download it from the POQ website
