Hey everyone,
First off, I'd like to start by apologizing to you all. I went away on leave in order to attempt to rekindle my interest in Halo. After playing for almost four years, it started to get old, and as such, I felt that I wasn't able to perform my duties as a leader of this clan. So I went off and tried to fix it by staying away from Halo for a while. Well, that didn't go as planned. Not only do I still have almost no interest in Halo, but even if I had begun to enjoy the game again, I wouldn't have had the time to play. I've been working 12 hours per day since Thanksgiving. I've basically become the head of my household because my mother was severely injured on January 1st (which ironically is the day I told Star I would be back from my leave) and she has not been able to work or even move since then, so I've been taking care of my own responsibilities as well as many of hers. I've also been having a lot of personal issues which I don't care to disclose to the general public (though if I'd had access to the clan discussion page, I may have done so) and I've been going through more than my fair share of other hardships these past six months. Anyway, as a result of the downward spiral that my life has become, I've been unable to perform my duties as your leader. Because of this, I have received veteran status "with highest honors," and I accept this decision by the Promotion Committee. I have failed you all, my family, and I want to offer my sincerest apologies.
The second thing is that as a condition of my veteran status, I was offered the opportunity to return to the clan as a Brigadier General, or, should I choose not to receive admin status, as a regular member. However, because of the reasons I explained above, I feel that I would not be capable of being a productive member of the clan any longer. Therefore, after three years and two months as a member of the [ZÅ] Clan, I am now offering my official resignation. While I do regret that this decision had to be made, it was done after two months of careful consideration, and as much as it literally hurts me to leave, I feel that it is what I must do. I feel that my participation at this point would be naught but a hindrance to the wonderful things you guys are doing, and the last thing I want to do is to be in your way. This, however, is not a permanent goodbye, for I will check in from time to time, and perhaps even start using Xfire once in a while.
I know that I've failed you as a leader. But I do hope that you will accept my apology and continue to be my friends. You guys are my brothers and sisters, and I love you all.

You didn't fail as a leader... Real life comes first. Your doing what you have to do.
And there is no apology to accept well to me there isn't anyway you didn't just abandon us things happen an you have to take care of things in real life.
You were a great member an leader to this clan.

Although I didn't really get a chance to know you much I don't see a reason for an apology. Seems like you have alot on your plate and can't be a leader. I think you speak with high integrity and will be a great loss to ZA judging by your post. Good luck with your future and best wishes for you mother. |

Naw Buck you didn't fail. You had more important duties to attend to so you did the grown up and responsible thing to do. In my eyes that just makes you more suited as a leader being able to choose the right desions.
I'm sure everyone here will miss and wishes you a happy life, I know i do.

Buck you were always a great leader and you have nothing to apologize for We alot of us looked up to you and totally understand that real life comes first. I'm so sorry to here about your mother and I hope she recovers very soon. It's sad to see you go but you will never be forgotten that is one thing I can guarantee you

Buck you are not a failure and have done much for this clan. Real life is more important than games and you've done the right thing. No need to apologize. Pff, fail? I see you've got pretty high standards. Being in ZA for 3 straight years, always contributing, only leaving when real life gets too much? If that's failing, there aren't many people who are going to succeed.
