It's a mod for both regular Halo and Custom Edition and it's got a ton of awesome features including automatic map downloads, instant load times, unified server list, devmode toggle, and a bunch of other cool features.
Basically, read the thread and download it. In fact, you may as well just go ahead and download it. Ignore the information stuff. You totally don't need that!

No offense but, instead of saying "ignore the information stuff", you should actually read it before promoting it.
The VERY FIRST SENTENCE on the forum post: "Halo Anticheat 2 is a new mod, supporting all versions of both Halo CE and Halo PC. Download is at the very end of the post."

It shouldn't really matter what type of Windows, AFAIK. This is a pure Halo in-memory mod, check the download files.

Apparently, the registry is different on Windows 8. Organic, for example, doesn't work properly with it.
I downloaded it and had a go. It wouldn't load any of the bookmarks that it saved. The FOV changing thing worked, but now I don't know what default is ...
I wasn't doing CE, so didn't test out any of those features.
If it incorporates Halo Chat V2 like it says in upcoming releases, I'll definitely get it.

The registry's stupid on Windows 8, but bookmarks should still be saved correctly. Doubt they're even saved in the registry.

Haha, can't wait till the next release detecting all the hacks. F*ck SAPP, SAPP is the worst server app that can't even detect hacks properly, which they can be easily caught by using a sightjacker..

Wait, WTF? It doesn't download all the custom maps? Are you sure you didn't try to join a passworded server or a server whose host blocks other connections from joining?

There's only a certain number of maps on the download servers. Most maps seem to be on the download servers but there are a few which aren't. |

Probably a bug, aka something to do with the [ ] brackets or _ in the map name.

No, he doesn't have all the maps uploaded to his mirrors.
I just ripped the latest halomaps as of last night, so hopefully they will start working with his mirrors soon.
