i think they brought out pumpkin soup, anvil, heads of mobs and item frame : for chests pumpkin pie and wallsalso able to lock redstone repeaters,
carrot on a stick :/ riding a pig where u want, beacon,empty map, nether star

pig will my official mode of transportation from now on, i will make a stable of pigs + saddles and name them Fifer, Fiddler and Edmund |

Pumpkin Pie, Picture Frames, Potatoes, Carrots, Plant pots, Wither skeleton, Skulls of things you kill can be placed, Nether Star, Anvils.
H+f3 will give descriptions of items, p+f3 pauses.
Some inventory updates, nothing much
New command /spawnpoint will change where you spawn, and there is also an ingame weather command other than bukket.
Blazes can now leave portals so they need to be encased in something. Also, stuff will travel through portals and not slow down.
Chickens use seeds to breed instead of wheat, Pigs use carrots to breed.
You can now create or restore villages.
Doors, traptoors, levers, and buttons no longer toggable with left click (so you don't run the chance of breaking them while opening or opening while breaking, etc.)
World spawning is customizable.
Added witches, which spawn in huts in swamps.
silverfish now spawn in Extreme Hills
Repeaters can create locked circuits. This will effectivly make it easier to make 2 way doors with pistons with levers. exc.
Stairs connect to other stairs t make corner stairs
Wither painting is added
Trapdoors are better
ANYWAY those are the updates. I hope the server is updated soon.

I just want to point out that from what I understand that unless some sort of world copy is used, if the server is updated all of the things that were built will be obliterated, just like what happened the other day.

Pig riding was available since forever, LOL!
It just so happens that you couldn't "drive" the big to go anywhere, you just sat on the pig without doing anything. Now carrot+stick can let you move the pig where you wanna go.

@carn, no the world generation isn't modified so it shouldn't really matter. We can still upgrade without screwing up the old world. |

Is it possible to modify any other animals, like horses into being the pig ride animation type and then modify where the horse could fly as you would be riding it like an unicorn?

lmao link. It's just like Halo - you can modify the clients, but the server (nor anybody else playing multiplayer) will be able to see it.
There are some nice mods like Spout and Tekkit which introduce tons of features into Minecraft from the server. You'll need to get the respective client to play in those servers. From what I hear, theres things like water systems (pipes n shit), energy lasers and nuclear bombs. |

WOW!! <--- Sorry for the caps, but I just Youtube searched on "Legend of Zelda Minecraft", and they made replicas of the Hyrule World map, kinda like the one from Halo CE. It looks amazing and fun to play in. When I do get Minecraft really soon, I hope we can try out that Legend of Zelda mods. I've also seen some really nice Halo PC map remakes like Chillout and Hang em High (Minecraft Style).

We haven't updated the server yet and prolly won't for a while.
You could update to try it out, but to play on server you would have to use MCNastalgia to downgrade to 1.3.2
