My computer keeps falling asleep randomly when I type. And I noticed it's the 'space bar' that's the last keystroke I make before it makes a quick sound and my computer goes to sleep mode. I'm trying to see what is the root of the problem.
Has this happened to anyone before? Or know anything about this?
Also whenever it happens, it always types in: 0,6

Sounds like you've set up a hotkey which sends your computer into sleep mode when you enter a combination of keystrokes which include 'space'.

I think you have your spacebar as a Sticky Key. This can easily be turned off by going to Control Panel -> Ease of Access Center -> Make the keyboard easier to use, and then uncheck all the Sticky Key options. If it still didn't work by turning it off from that menu, then you can try to see on which part of the Ease of Access Center has that certain Sticky Key enabled.

ermmm how old is your keyboard? does it rattle if you shake it? and is there a sleep button on it? it may be that it needs replaced. if hotkeys isnt the answer check that next.

Sounds like you may be do for a new keyboard. I dont believe this is a software issue.

Well, since he uses a laptop, I believe, then it is only as old as the laptop itself. Lol. |

Thank you! But all of the settings are off. It wasn't that, and I tried it before with keyboard settings.

Well my keyboard is from 2006... Also it does have a sleep button, which I thought about first, is it possible it malfunctions?

I think Althor has helped me fix the problem, but I'm going to wait a whole day to confirm. I'm trying to see if there will be anymore problems throughout the day. |

Well the issue is solved, kinda. My keyboard short-circuits and makes a lot of buttons hit at the same time, and one of them was the sleep button on my keyboard. |

so since hes has vista and there is no sleep button on pc control panel> power options> change what the power buttons do> sleep button> change from sleep to do nothing.

....back on my junk pc that got 1-20 fps i could see camo too.....used to earn the humans a nuke ever couple of matches
