G'Day!
After the AWEsome match of Hide n Seek in the classic server, I was thinking of asking an admin to create and HnS -md- .
Now, I haven't got an admin yet or thought of the preparation, although, I know that lots of people enjoyed it and I want to know if any of you are interested. This will also help me figure out whether or not to go forth with the idea.

You are correct, it was fun. However, this gametype is not one that can be repetitively played and will eventually become boring and inactive if we made a md on it, imo just round up a few players in classic or create an event, but don't waste time on making something that wouldn't be used to its capacity in one months time. |

HHHmmmm... You have a point, and I understand, but I don't fully support it. I have a feeling that I would be able to round a few players up when I'm online and I could keep it up for longer than a month. We have other mds that are rarely active, at least this will be running, and active. Have another think about it.

You can set events and round up players without being in a md, I just believe that its a waste of time setting up an -md- |

I would have no objection if there was enough support for one, I'm just saying down the track it will just become another inactive md. Can you really see yourself in a few months or even weeks enjoying this gametype? It will get repetitive in my opinion but even so, it would save a site admin work if one was not created for these 2 reasons: It has a large chance of inactivity just like the other md's, there would be no benefit of making one because the resources are already here. And I wouldn't exactly call racing assasins -md- a success seeing that the last post was two months ago (23-08-2012) |

I'm not saying that it was a success, in fact I don't think it was a good idea. - My opinion. Not many admins will have to deal with much if it goes forth since it will be dealt with sensibly. It's at least worth a trial. If you think about it, the new people that join ZA/FC will fond this comforting since it is something new just like them joining, so they would want to test it out. Think about it again.

Not many admins will have to deal with much? you need atleast one admin in the server at all times to make the GT actually function. And regarding new players joining it would find it comforting, if they join ZA its because they like the community because everyone is kind and welcoming, and as I said it will be short lived just like all the other md's, thats why I am against the idea |

on one hand. if you had your own scripted server you wouldnt need admins. downside is someone has to buy it, script it, and maintain it. on the other if you had an admin present you might be able to run a game once in a while on the classic server.

Ops, RawR is admin and from my perspective, she is willing to be in server, and others may be too. Lots of people join ZA for that reason, and I complement you for that statement, although, people that join ZA will also like to have the re-assurance that they have joined like any other and comfortably. I really think that it will be appealing to them.

I know that, and also it will pick up more people, what I mean by that is, if they like it they can join the md and become more dedicated. If someone is in a md they feel more powerful and dedicated, rather than everyone at the same level. If people are dedicated then more will play.

We really dont need a separate md for the occasional game of hide and seek. After a few games it gets really boring and then you don't want to play it again for the month or so that it takes to forget how boring that gametype really is then you get a bunch of people together and remember again.

It's really fun, me and some other [ZA]'s and non [ZA]'s played it earlier today and we were in NwG TeamSpeak 3 too. We played without Phasor script as normal Hide N Seek gametype and just had to follow by the Hide N Seek rules. But I think it would be really fun if someone had made a script for Hide N Seek, like for example the blue team hides and the red team seeks. The game will start where the red team spawns in the map along with blue team, but the red team cannot move for 1 minute or depends on the size of the map as bigger maps, more time for blues to hide and smaller maps, less time for blues to hide, so after the time runs out for blue, the red team will be able to move again and find blue team as blue team cannot move, but they can look around the map with their mouse. So when a person in the blue team gets found and killed, then that person will automatically be switched to red team. Also the green arrow above the teammate's head should not appear for both teams, unless it's possible to make it see-able for the seeking team only. The hiding team will be invisible, and since the seeking team won't be, but hiding team won't be able to move, then we don't need to put the motion tracking radar to detect the red enemy dots to see if the hider is cheating or not by moving. It's basically like zombie type script, but except with those features I've mentioned in this post.
