I have a camcorder that isnt working. It is a coby cam4000 (sony. When i go to turn it on, its stuck on the cobby snapp screen and will not respond to pressing any of the buttons (power button, record, etc) I have placed in new batteries, but that didnt solve my problem... Please help |

How long ago did you buy it? When I worked in the Photo dept. at walmart Sony had a 1 year warranty on their stuff. If its been less than a year call sony and they can probably help you with it. If its been longer youre SOL! You could try banging it against the table. I did that to a camera once when the lens wouldn't come out all the way and it fixed it lol.

i've had it for a year just about (shit) when i put it into the usb drive, it goes to the screen coby snapp (take it out, and it shuts off, i have replaced it with tripple A (AAA) batteries, that doesnt work either) Even if the cam is plugged into the usb drive, it still doesnt repond to me pressing... say record?
I think i should just trash it (keep the 4 gb memory card) and get a new one) |

it's a conspiracy - 1 year warranty, they;re all timed to break just over a year after purchase

Unless you have the receipt this is probably your best option at this point. JVC camcorders were always a good brand when I worked cameras.
