But what you shouldn't do is splash the paddles furiously trying to escape as that will just make you more inviting and seemingly like wounded prey. I would suggest you just sit calmly in the kayak and wait for the shark to lose interest and leave. It may nudge the vessel a little only because they are curious but once they realize the kayak is inedible they will likely leave you alone. Sharks are not the vicious, ruthless, indiscriminate killers that hollywood has made them out to be.
