I was a ZA brony before it was manestream.
Evil, evil stuff. I hope that we can bring an end to this.
Also, just want to throw this out there: http://visiblechi...umblr.com/ I haven't read it all yet, but it offers an alternative viewpoint on the campaign.

lol church, I know right? Remember SOPA and PIPA?
"When the Internet is threatened, every teenager becomes politically active."
I would look up facts about IC though.
Foreign Affairs (if I remember correctly from the last time I read it, a fairly neutral journal) attacked IC for blowing the whole situation out of proportion. Yes, these things happened... but does it happen on a large scale daily? Probably not. (last witnessed event was in 2009)
There's also some controversy over how much the organization's director and filmmaker's made. Quite a bit of money, I was told.
This is a conpiracy, most of the money you donate arent even going to the charity. The guy who is directing the movie makes about 100k a year, not including all the camera men and other expenses.
How does this idea sound? If there's someone you want dead, put an adequate bounty on his head. Apparently 4 million people have watched that video on youtube. If just 25% of them donated $10 to an independent and trusted 'Kill Kony' pot, that would be a $10 million ($10,000,000) bounty on his head. One of his own commanders would most likely cut his head off during the night. The pot could even be constructed such that all the money be returned to the doners if the target was not killed by a certain date (2013?).
I'm not entirely convinced by the whole "conspiracy" argument, but I will agree that certain people involved are making a suspicious amount of money. (I think about 3% of the organization's entire expenses, which is about 261 K.)
If I remember my news correctly, some politician tried to place a bounty on him, but I think it failed to pass in Congress.
The question is (to your proposal), however, will people be able to do this whenever? (Pardon me for this somewhat extreme example); if every Republican unhappy with Obama donated about $150 to a pot to assassinate him, would that be ethically responsible? While the proposal is rather good for Kony, I think that we should have cooler heads prevail, and let an international court decide on his fate.
I just believe that the whole thing is blown completely out of proportion than it should ever have been.
This is one of those things where I enjoy having absolutely no clue what the fuck is going on. Reminds me that I don't care what everyone else is talking about.
my signature broke, here is a fox snek:
These are the things that piss me off in this world. No not the Joseph Kony guy, but I'm not going to talk about him.
It's the guy that made the video, and how society really is. The video angers me so much, that I flip out on my friends
that support the video. Yes I understand it's trying to get the word across of what's going on.
But if there are things like this happening, why can't it just be stopped? It can't, most of you won't understand why,
cuz how our generation in society is today, no offense, it's all very complex but organized in a way. Yes I'm from "this" generation, but I been raised in a place where the media doesn't really influence the way our people are.
Edit: And I agree with what Mat said and Church's picture with Willy Wonka.
