I plan on buying some new headphones because my current ones are dead-ish.
So I have a question, what should I be looking for in the specifications in my headphones?
Is a high Hertz rate good? WHAT THE HELL IS IMPEDANCE?
Confused as always, thanks.

skull candy is usually a good choice. i think they have both earbud and headphone styles too, in case you have a preferance

Hertz is just about range. makes little difference for headphones. |

you want great feed and long lasting get some sort of expensive plantronics headset. even the cheapest of plantronics is amazing. you might be able to get a nice one from bestbuy for around 50 to 70 bucks. oooorr GET SKULL CANDY!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to be a buzzkill but the skullcandy headphones I've had in the past weren't that great. Use to crackle after quite a bit of use and couldn't handle the low frequencies, even when they were designed to.
Bose headphones are great but can be very expensive.
The make of headphones that have lasted me and haven't broken at all are Sennheiser headphones. I use them for when I DJ as well and most can handle the heat. You can get sennheisers cheap and at really good quality.

"Handle the heat" as in a metaphor, as in the headphones can handle when there is excessive bass and an excessive volume, and it can also handle the very high frequencies without crackling.

i own multiple pairs. and Melon, being somewhat of a sound guru, also knows what hes talking bout mate.
my 1st pair arrived DOA. 2nd lost 1 side after 2 weeks due to crappy sodering. 3rd pair (gift at this point), lost the ability to play any about of high register shortly after playing a few songs. |
