no they arent, snes had a kind of xbox live like system called xband, ah the good old days of arguing with my mom over her having to use the phone and me wanting to play mario kart over a dial-up connection

 brushing off googly's admonishment for the time being...

how could xbox possibly be on this list, and not gamecube and ps2? i'm pretty sure ps2 was available in limited quantities before the xbox was released, and gamecube was released at almost the exact same time as the xbox...that being said, i think all three of the aforementioned are a good 5 years after the most recent of the rest, past the turn of the century...

and i vote for ps1. greatest slew of 1v1 fighting games ever.

 If you're gonna have Xbox, you should have other 6th gen consoles like PS2 and gamecube, like above said.

Anyway, I'm going for Xbox because it's a generation or three ahead of the others and, of course, it spawned Halo.

playstation has everything (or an acceptable substitute) for practically anything except mario games...unfortunately, i don't think they ever made lightweight guns for ps1, as they did for ps2/ps3 and xbox...(time crisis, house of the dead omfg greatest games ever).
