Well my keyboard is from 2006... Also it does have a sleep button, which I thought about first, is it possible it malfunctions?

Well, your keyboard looks 6 years old, and it's true that if you use keyboard and mouse for a long period of time, it can cause loose keys on the keyboard and as for the mouse, the clicking buttons will become loose as well. I remember my gaming mouse that I bought 3 years ago where the left clicking button became loose because I used to play Halo and other games so much that involves in a lot of clicking. So one day, the mouse finally decided not to do the clicks anymore whenever you pressed the left click button with your finger. So in other words, I would suggest it's time for a new keyboard.
Logitech brand for keyboards FTW! By the way, you can also get cool gaming keyboards like mine where you can time things on it. For example timing the OS, weapon spawn, etc.
