hell yeah that would be fun having over 20 people on the server. But if the first zombie doesn't get them quick enough it might be impossible to get anyone. xD |

Are you sure about that? Oxide, among others, was convinced that to make Halo work with more than 16 players you would have to rewrite all of the functions to support players 17 and up. And once you've done that you would still need to make the client receive the information on those additional players. In other words, you would need to severely modify both the server and the client and then distribute the client to all the players. Unless you've figured out some other way to do this it really isn't worth the effort. |

ive already faked a server with over 16, and the client bought into it. yes, functions would need some work, but elsewise is still doable. |

I know this is the alpha server thread, but smileys server, even if you are not camping, it says you are. Reason for this? I was running in a straight line and it was saying that I need to quit camping. this doesnt make any sense. |

Why on earth would you post that on this thread? this is about a server host bug or something, yours is about a different server and a bug in a script. lol...

No, its about the za alpha infection server and about one particular bug which is a halo bug not a server bug really. : P

The script doesn't lie. You probably doubled back to where you were at some point. I'll explain how it works in greater detail so you can understand what's going on.
The script basically creates a cylindrical zone around you. If you are still within this zone after 10 seconds have passed, you are considered camping.
The dimensions of the cylinder are as follows:
Height: 1.6m (0.8m above and 0.8m below)
Radius: 10m
0.8m is just over the jumping height and 10m is about 1/3 the length of the DC ledge. It really isn't that hard to move out of the camping zone. Unless of course, you were camping. |

I was running from the middle of the map at DC to red base. It was saying I was camping. Raze told me it was cuz I was running in a straight line. I tried running around zig-zag, and it stopped telling me I was camping. Maybe there is something wrong with the script. I would like you to check it out. Cuz when I was running around in a zig-zag, I was probably in the cylinder but it wasnt saying I was camping. |

I have checked and there is nothing wrong with the script. It has been tested and retested many times and no one else has experienced such a thing before. If it continues, inform me again, but I highly doubt there is anything wrong with the script. |

i found a simple way around that which is pretty simple and hasn't failed me yet.
just keep the chat bar open during the load.
it kinda keep you connected since you could hit enter at any time to say something......or at least thats how i think it works. lol
Don't bare the name if you can't play the game!
