Here is a slightly trickier math problem:
Mathematically prove that no three positive integers a, b, c can satisfy this equation:
a^n + b^n = c^n
Given that n is an integer greater than 2.

Slightly trickier? Lol.
Only took a few hundred years, 7 years of Wiles' life, and 100 pages to prove.

You really should've added parenthesis, otherwise it confuses people.
that would kind've defeated the point of the thread though

Well all I know is that math is super easy. We use math everyday of our life. For example, counting...very basic, but important in math. If you're not so good at math, learn it.
You know what I do when I go to stores or gas stations to buy things? Before I get to the cashier, I try to find out the final price, adding all the items together and multiplying it by 1.07 in my head, the .07 is the tax (7%). Just for fun and 95% I'm right, I'm human remember, I make mistakes and I do it all mentally xD And when I'm wrong, I'm usually off by no more than 10 cents. |

I do this too, but only to avoid the awkward moment of not having enough cash to pay for everything. If I've gone over I just put some things back.
I don't agree that maths is "super-easy", but it's logical and do-able.

^ Lol that's why you need to work harder while doing it when you barely have money on you.
Well yeah it's not that easy when you get to higher levels, but like you said, it's " logical and do-able". I find it super easy because most of the problems I encounter is just knowing how the steps (how to solve the type of problem) and plugging in the number where it's suppose to go, and TADA!
I love Statistics btw. =) |

Read about modern financial derivatives and their methods, then let talk about how "easy" math is.

That's stupid. Is it that hard to exchange a product/or service for cash, or other materials? There is so much stupid shit in business, sorry this sis my personal opinion.
I'm actually going to study Business Administration until I get my PhD. All the complicated crap is there for a reason, and it's not to make life easier, or make things cheaper. |

thing is, most of the maths you need is just arithmetic. and i learnt that at primary school really well (we had times tables tests every week) so i can do the arithmatricks n stuff.
