After the presidential election, Obama became president... again. Anyways there have been talks of states seceeding over this. Could a second civil war in America be possible? |

In all reality it is not. While a state like Cali, NY or TX could probably forge a great civil war based on the populations, with a unified economy and little resources to liquidate, along with the current installments of soldiers overseas, even the largest states, with the largest populations could not hold out for long.

It is very very very unlikely. Everything i too wired together. If anything, the worse that can happen is a riot of some sort (stopped by the army of course), then a few days or weeks later, a peaceful truce and separation between the parties. |

The only (feasible) type of "civil" war that our nation would engage in would be a revolt/revolution against our current government. Anything else would be put down quickly (The government would pick a side and flood it with troops), and there would be the threat of missiles against the side that the government goes against. The only possible civil war would most likely be in the event of an uprising. The only way an uprising could be successful would be in the event of the neutralization of most key government personnel within the first day or so.

Or like you know... find the safe areas of the country? There are some areas that the government couldn't hit due to their own people being there or just because it would destroy a structure that needs to remain in place for them to survive.
But I agree, only a true uprising would work. A civil war between states would never work due to the country having a unified economy. Of course, one of the states or a state alliance could find a way to steal all of the money for themselves. Then it would be plausible to have a civil war. But it would be quite difficult to steal enough money and resources to stage a war. |

I can't find the video from school but search for CGPGrey's latest video about whether Texas could secede from the union. That explains a few things, including that there is actually no way for for a state to secede.

Since the Republicans and Democrats are hating each other more than ever since this election. its a possibility but i doubt it'd actually happen since more than 50% of the USA congress is Republican. I am more worried about the Nuclear deal we have with Iran so they can make nuclear weapons, and the fact they marched chanting "death to all Americans" and hopefully we pull out of that stupid ass deal.
