Halo connection issues

I would still try resetting your ip on your router. Turn your router off and unplug if from the wall for at least 5 minutes. After that plug it back up and turn it on again. That will reset your ip and clear your net out a bit so to say. Even if you don't think its a router issue you should still try it. If that still doesnt work go to speedtest.net and post your results here.

Yet Llamas does not continue to listen and post his speedtest results. If I don't know what/how his net is, then I can't go onto the next step to help him solve his problem..

Gonna be honest Vulture, Speedtesting the connection isn't going to tell you much that isn't pretty much obvious.
Llama, who is the manufacturer and what is the model number. Usually all that information is underneath the laptop or you can try System Information.
Also what system operating system are you utilizing?
As for the disc, I probably give it a nice cleaning and try a reinstall after the cleaning.

Well, I wanted to know if he had a shitty DSL connection like 1 Mbp/s download speed and 0.5 Mbp/s upload speed because if he did and playing Halo with that wireless, then problem solved. He won't lag in games like CS:GO and all that because CS:GO is a game from 2012 where the netcode is 100X better than a 10 year old game like Halo. Other than that, I would suggest him plugging in an ethernet cable hooked up from his computer to the router or built in ethernet port modem. I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a decent inbuilt or network card to support good wireless connectivity. Also another thing I wanted to know is that if he ever experienced this lag before on his new computer. Sometimes viruses can cause your computer to cause lag, so hopefully his computer isn't infected.

You are right, but it was pretty obvious the computer itself has the issue. Hence I want to make sure Llamas gets that wireless nic updated. God knows wireless drivers are touchy not including with working with old code utilizing the WinSock Library.
Which to think about it, Llama might want to do a virus and malware check with two or more programs.

Try to reset your ip like I stated above. If that doesnt work you should try running your halo as administrator and then run it ad not and see if it makes a difference.

A new problem has popped up. My halo crashes everytime I minimize it.

Your net is decent as it shouldn't be the major problem then if you're using wireless from it. So now that we know it's not the internet connectivity problem.
Few things to try next:
.::Restarting your router/modem/computer::.
1) Turn off your computer.
2) Unplug your modem.
3) Unplug your router if you use any.
4) Wait like 2 minutes while it's been turned off.
5) After 2 minutes, first turn back on the modem and wait for the modem lights to go solid.
6) Once the modem lights are solid, if you use a router, plug back/turn the router on again and wait for the lights to go solid on that as well.
7) Turn on your computer again and see if it made any difference.
.::For virus/malware issues::.
1) Get an Anti-Virus scanner like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. (Message me for further details into unlocking this software.)
2) Do a full system scan on your computer.
3) Once it automatically finishes its full scan, delete all the possible malware/spyware threats.
.::Another helpful program to get rid of annoying cookies, cache from web browsers and other software::.
