So obviously this clan has seen better days. We all miss the old ZA that we know and love, but I really have a sneaking suspicion that it is gone for good. I could list a lot of factors that play into why this clan will not ever be revived but suffice it to say that it’s highly unlikely. That being said, Wings came up with an idea that I had been flirting with for a long time but never thought it would happen but now that he mentioned something about it, I figured I would post it and gauge support for the idea.
Are you sitting down? Well you should because some of the old members would roll over in their proverbial grave if they read this. What would y’all think about a merge with another clan, specifically CnR?
CnR?! WTF have you been smoking?! Yes like I said, roll over. However once you get past the initial shock of it, there is good cause for considering it. CnR is one of the very few remaining clans that actually is active. Several of you are already in CnR (including me) and already know that it is a place that is open and accepting. Not to mention that they also have a Halo server that could be used by those of you that still play.
I already briefly mentioned it to the leader of CnR and as expected he did not have a problem with the idea at all. He did say however that there would not be any expectations of retaining positions of power, so basically if we decided to be absorbed into CnR you would have to start out as a regular member again (unless of course you already were in CnR with a position).
I know that a lot of you have bad blood feelings towards CnR from several years ago when they had childish members that caused some trouble, but it has been exactly that, years, and most of the CnR members are college age now and much more mature. I have a feeling that many of you would fit right in to their inviting atmosphere and enjoy playing games with many of them.
So now comes the time where you tell me if y’all would actually be interested in pursuing such a plan. Let me remind you that currently we have nothing left except for this site (which would remain in an archival state). We don’t do events, we don’t have servers, we basically have nothing. Joining CnR would be a chance to have comrades to play with again and an actively managed site, teamspeak and servers to partake of.

Hell we should just merge with all of the clans left on Halo at this point.

I will talk to the Clan leader of CnR about how exactly we would go about doing this.
Edit: After discussion with Nick we came to these terms: Any ZA member that wishes to merge with CnR can make a site account and then message me (Carnage) on the site. You will not have to go through an application or interview process because you are accepted under the merits of being a respected member of ZA. It is asked of you however, that you of course follow any rules, come around to the site, and the teamspeak and get to know the members of CnR. It is a clan that utilizes teamspeak a lot, and it's a lot more enjoyable if you partake in that aspect, not to mention it allows you to get to know people much faster. Also you do not have to talk in teamspeak if you are uncomfortable doing so. We have some members that only type and that is perfectly acceptable albeit less efficient.
If you have any questions about CnR you can ask me. I am their Co-Leader and head up their Internal Affairs department.

Ok, I have to ask since I just got back into ZA... kinda sorta i know some members didn't want me back, Can I do this as well?

Yes you can join ts and participate etc. without joining the clan if you want.
The blue thing is a site reward thing for having lots of forum posts.

Ok change of plans. Because of the way the Enjin (the website service the CnR uses) is setup, you actually do have to submit an application for me to be able to add you to the site. However, you do not need to fill out all the questions, just the parts that it requires. Just note on the app that you are a ZA member that is applying so that you can be auto-accepted.

Erm aint a new idea. CNR member have propose this more than once before lol.. Not saying i oppose it or anything. But as other have said, a major change need to happen. So with this merge i take it slimjim/melon/marmite will just close down the site then? |

Yeah, we could update clan history and timeline information to reflect the changes currently happening. We could probably post it somewhere on CnR as well.
CnR's website isn't working for me at the moment, I'll be more active on there soon.

The domain has been changed since the last time you were on the CnR site. That's probably why you're having trouble. Update your bookmarks.
