Just saw the fox says vid...it was in there, but I figured since half of the prisoner of war movies use morse, how does it work? Never learned..would be interesting to have secret easter eggs in the videos as well in morse too!

Morse code is a system use to encode text based on two states. Usually, these two states are short and long tones represented by dots . and dashes - respectively. Each letter is represented by a certain sequences of dots and dashes: for example 'L' is '. - . .' in Morse code. To make a word, you send the sequences for each letter of the word in turn, with a short gap between each letter (the gap is longer than the gap between tones making up a single letter). You then send each word in turn with a longer gap to transmit a sentence, etc.
This chart shows how to encode the Latin alphabet and Arabic numerals:

For practice, try to translate this from Morse code:

I assume that you mean the little button that's often used when you see people encoding in Morse.
The button sends a signal along a wire to the receiver, where the message will be played in terms of long and short tones. There are 3 different things they can do with the button:
- Send a short tone: a dot
- Send a long tone: a dash
- Send nothing: a pause
