Apparently theres a new halo coming out which is being made by the fans. The pictures look pretty good so far and they are saying its going to be free?

If this is legitimate, which it looks like it is, I'll be the first to buy/download it. I hope it's not a huge disappointment like Halo Anniversary was.
Lol, it's not really an official Halo game made by Microsoft and 343i. This is fan-made project using CryEngine (Crysis gaming engine) and will be available to download for free once it's completed. This project was first introduced during the CE3 2013 Live Show:
Fan made add ons, upgrades, and sequels are usually very good. Made for fan love not for market.

They do, but remember, this isn't for Halo Custom Edition game. It's for another gaming engine from Crysis game called CryEngine. So you need that in order to play it.

It's not an official game made by Microsoft/343i you noob. It's fan-made and you need Crysis game for PC along with installing CryEngine to run it. lol
So as long as your PC can run Crysis and you have that game, then you should be good to play Project Contingency once it's publicly released.

The only new Halo for PC at the moment would be Halo: Spartan Assault and that game blows monkey poop. You also needs Windows 8 to play that garbage. So yeah, most of the fan-made projects from the Halo Custom Edition community are 1000x better than M$ and 343i.

343i consist of experienced fans/former bungie employees who wanted to continue the halo franchise who are willing to listen to the community and make amazing fresh games to keep halo alive, they cant help that they have to go through microsofts money sucking barriers to make a decent game.
And project contingency is not related to halo CE.

I agree. M$ are no good for nothing money hungry bastards. They only care about their shitty money and not to where making a famous well known sequel to their games good.
