I'm having trouble finding a way to mirror my phone's screen to my television. I have a basic HDTV with a few HDMI ports as well as component ones. I also own a Galaxy SIII. I have an adapter that allows me to connect USB devices into my phone via the micro USB port. I do not want a Micro USB to MHL, but some form of USB to some form of output that allows mirroring.
I haven't came up with much. Any help would be awesome.

yeah there should like some sort of splitter that distributes a High Def connection to view pics, vids on HDTV.

Does the phone have a Mini HDMI port? If so, you'll need to find a Mini HDMI to HDMI adapter.
Video can't be transmitted along USB so a USB cable would be useless for what you want  |

I own a Droid x2 phone and can buy an HDMI chord from my phone to the TV so I can watch movies from my phone. The port is next to my charger port. This chord is sold at Walmart for 10 bucks. Does this help? |

If your phone has a HDMI port, it certainly could help. Search on Google for images of HDMI ports.
Could you provide the brand and model of the cable though?
Though digital cables rarely have differences, some are offered with terrible wiring. This means that the digital signal isn't transmitted correctly and only partially and is thus low quality. |

To connect your Samsung Galaxy S III (S3) to a non-smart TV, you'll need to use the AllShare Cast wireless streaming dongle. The Samsung-branded accessory connects to your TV via an HDMI cable, and works with your handset using a wireless protocol called Wi-Fi Display. You could also use your smartphone as a controller while beaming games onto the larger screen.
At S$148, the AllShare Cast is quite pricey, but there aren't many devices that are able to do direct mirroring wirelessly. For example, the HTC Media Link HD is slightly cheaper at S$128, but your handset will only be able to stream media content using the AllShare app.
