well there are to things to the bottom of gephyrophobia.
1. there is a vehicle barrier where vehicles fall to and stop there ( you can get there and drive around but it's not as simple as it looks).
2. the bottom of the map is even deeper than that of the vehicle barrier
It's not possible to get to the bottom of the map(unless modded) but you can get up to the vehicle barrier(without mod like i did) which is still pretty deep down below and that's how you get there.
You have to get lucky enough so that the turret lands upright and not upside down.

Actually me and mator went back and did this stunt again today, but wasn't so lucky to get to the bottom. we will keep trying.

The Turret was never designed for you to fall out of it. That's when stunters take advantage of it.
