Here is what you do. Get the card, pay me $100, get it activated, pay me another $100, say that Numpty is the coolest person ever, then buy stuff on steam. |

the activation fee is for putting money on the card..so example let say your getting one of those 20 dollar cards. you have to pay the 20 dollars obviously. but some cards have activation fees. so most typical number is 3.95 or 4.95. you have to pay that all together,. so it be 23.95 or 24.95 look on back of card to seee if there a activation fee. it'll say the amount right next to it if there is one. |

Go to your nearest bank, tell them you want a pre-paid visa (or whatever brand they have). They will ask you how much you want t put in it. You give them the cash, they give you the card.
OR
Go to a mega-chain store (like walmart) and near registers or at customer service they have prepaid gift cards, find one that is "used anyway visa is accepted" (or whatever brand you want). Take it to register, and give them how much cash you want on it.
I believe that you can use debit and credit cards to fill up your pre-paid card. If there is an activiation fee, you can either deduct it from the amount you are putting on the card, so lets say you have 20 bucks, but the activation is 3 bucks, then you would only been putting 17 bucks on the card, or you can pay them 23 bucks so you still have 20 on the card.
