that statement doesn't fall into the implied category of information that the statistic was concerning. viz., my statistic is only concerning statements which are of some physical nature (e.g. "I have 150 dogs.") that seem to require evidence in order to be believed.

only if your ability to believe in something is week.
your faith in that person is lost in a bottomless pit.
belief in something requires no physical proof.
only faith and a little help from strong will are required.
without faith there is no belief.
red could very well be blue, given the fact that you believe that it is so.
just as you believe that all the words given to you when growing up mean exactly what they were told to you to be.
curses are the best example of this. look really far back in history and you will see that there where words then considered to be curse words that are not curse words today, and vise verse. that is only because those people believed them to be so.

Why does everyone make seem working is bad? Lazyness is bad.
Imagine working with anything you love so much. Doctors wished they got paid more, but most do it just to save lives, and they LOVE IT, and would work 24/7 if they physically could. Something to think about (;
Also a not so crazy example, a gardener. They work so much, bu for what? Most don't get paid? It's backbreaking work, but you know what? THEY LOVE IT =) |

Me too, im christian. But on earth, our purpose is to enjoy life and take care of the world. We are doing the opposite. We are forcing ourselves to work and to do things that we dont want. We're destroying everything, and soon enough humanity will destroy itself too. And THEN, when theres nothing left,
the world will regenerate. But for now, we have no duty. We just have to suffer and wait.
And brick, im not saying i want to live in lazyness forever, im just saying that we should enjoy life and do what we want, cause THAT is our purpose. Enjoying life is fairy tale untill you reach age 67+, but because of all the pollution and toxic shit humanity is producing we'll prolly die around that age soon enough.

I don't think we are forcing ourselves to work, well at least not all of us. I work as a lifeguard in the summer and I absolutely love it. If I could make a career our of lifeguarding I would. I would agree that we are forcing ourselves to do things we don't want to, but that is inevitable. Nothing would get done if we were only doing what we wanted to all the time.
As for destroying everything on this planet, I do agree. History goes to show that something catastrophic happens and destroys a significant percentage of the earth's population. I don't think we have to suffer. We only suffer if we allow ourselves to suffer. We always have a choice. We can choose to suffer or we can choose to make the best of our current situations. Go out and make it better for yourself, don't wait for someone to hand you something. If you want something bad enough, you'll find a way.

Shit happens and life is short. The universe is wonderful enough not to have to degrade it by worrying about higher powers. Enjoy life and help others enjoy it too.

I 100& agree with you. God loves us all =) But taking care of the world means no laziness =P

A bit late, but what's your xfire?
I'm totally interested in spending half a day listening to your philosophical ideas.
It might not even take very long if it's linked to psychology and various other fields. It might be similar to my own ideas 
I've got a philosophy based mostly on psychology which I believe could change the entire psychology field some day.
I can also explain human mentalities in exact detail, and describe exactly what every possibility is depending on certain events. It's pretty easy once you fully understand one simple fundemental fact. |

First, read up about philosophical relativism, world history, futurism, some anthropology, and human technological progression. Then, you may come talk to me, because it is very complicated to explain without some background knowledge.
Wikipedia is a fair place to start. I can provide additional sources if you want.
