Hello there Competitors and Judges! So for the Commercial Competition, I have enlisted the help of Red, Buck, Hat and Wings as judges for the competition (please don't bribe them with cookies!), and hopefully The Guy Formerly Known as Slim will have time to cast his vote. I have asked Wings to replace me since I helped Adder edit his commercial. I am no longer judging the commercials.
So to answer some questions I've been getting alot:
Q: CAN I BEE IN TWO COMMERCIALS?
A: Yes, but you can only be creator of 1 video; meaning, you only have 1 chance to win.
Q: WILL I BE DISQUALIFIED IF I BREAK A RULE (GO OVER THE TIME LIMIT, DON'T MENTION THE WEBSITE, USE THE WRONG MUSIC, ETC)
A: You will NOT be disqualified. Because we are using a scoring system based on a scale of 0-10, if you break a rule (or two or three), it is POSSIBLE that you could lose points in one of the categories. There is still a chance that a rule-breaker will win the competition based on his other scores.
There will be 6 Judging Criteria for scoring the commercials:
Rule Compliance
*Commercial adheres to the rules listed on thread.
Creativity & Originality
*Content itself is creative and original and it used creatively and with originality.
Quality (Audio/Visual)
*The Audio and Visual aspects of the commercial are of good quality.
Content related to [ZÅ]
*Content relates specifically to the clan, its site, its servers, its members and/or its game play.
Functionality as a Recruiting Advertisement
*Commercial will function well as a tool used to promote the clan and recruit new members.
Overall Experience
*Commercial has the ability to entertain viewers in a positive way.
Scores for each category can range from 0 to 10.
0 - Does not Apply
1 - Minimum score
2 - Poor
3 - Okay
4 - Almost there
5 - Meets Expectations
6 - Exceeds Expectations
7 - Good
8 - Excellent
9 - Almost Perfect
10 - Maximum score
Placing:
If we have 1 submission, we have a winner.
If we have 2 to 6 submissions, we will have a winner and a runner-up.
If we have 7 to 10 submissions, we will have 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place.
If we have 11 or more, we will have 1st through 3rd place, and 3 honorable mentions.
In the event of a tie, each judge will re-judge just the tied commercials using a 0, 1 system. For each category, the judge must decide which of the two excels and scoring it with a 1, leaving the other commercial with a 0. The scores for the commercial will re-tallied using only the scores from the 0,1 system.
Winner:
1st place winner will have their commercial used as a recruiting tool by recruiters and admins. Commercial will also be featured on the homepage of the site so long as The Guy Formerly Known as Slim approves.
Everyone Else:
If we have a really close competition, we may use more than one video for recruiting and featured on page.
